The cover (on the left) featured Bart hanging precariously over a vat of bubbling silver ink, using a special foil cover. The special editions costs $2.95 (vs. $1.95 for the other versions below) and doesn't have a bar code on the cover. This was also reprinted in the limited edition Bongo Comics Group Spectacular volume.

Bartman #1  - Version #2   (Dec 1993) (Content same as above) This version has a non-foil cover, a bar code on the cover page and doesn't include a poster but only costs $1.95.

Bartman #1  - Version #3   (Dec 1993) (Content same as above) This version has a non-foil cover, doesn't include a poster and is priced at $1.95. More significantly, this version includes a "Bart Simpson" bar code on the cover page. The "Bart Simpson" bar codes on these special versions of Simpsons Comics #1, Itchy & Scratchy Comics #1, Bartman #1 and Radioactive Man #1 together form a complete headshot of Bart which is illustrated here!

	Bongo Beat: My Rock 'N' Roll Life, Part Two: The Utter Shame of Utter Shamelessness, by The Artist Formerly Known as Matt. Part One was printed in Simpsons Comics #5. This Bongo Beat article was subsequently reprinted in Simpsons Comics Royale. This is the conclusion (Part 3 of 3) of the "When Bongos Collide" Crossover story that began in Itchy & Scratchy #3 and was continued in Simpsons Comics #5. Bongo Comics, in conjunction with Wizard magazine, ran a contest to create a costumed super-persona for Homer Simpson. The results of that contest appeared in this issue, and the winners and honorable mentions are documented in the Meet the Fans section. This issue included SkyBox Simpsons Trading Card B5, which was a "spinner" card featuring Radioactive Man on one side and Bartman on the reverse (above right) and an instruction card "How To Use This Spinner Card". When spun, the two images appear to merge, and you see Bartman getting a "high five" from Radioactive Man, and the third image above to the right shows what the combined images look like.
