The Classics Illustrative cover is a parody of Classics Illustrated.   Slobberwacky is itself a parody of Jabberwocky, a poem by Lewis Carroll, originally featured in "Through The Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There", and it closely follows the original verse by verse. It is no coincidence then that the No. 49 on this cover was selected to correspond to the original Classics Illustrated #49 from July 1948 which was Alice in Wonderland, with the role of the Chesire Cat being represented by our very own Snowball II replete with a mischievous grin.
