La primera emisión de este episodio en EE.UU. fue cortada y comprimida para hacer espacio para la emisión de el video musical "Do The Bartman". La versión que llegó a Latinoamérica y fue emitida en todos los canales fue ésta, por lo que nadie vio el episodio completo. La escena perdida no se vio hasta 2 años después en la retrospectiva del episodio 9F17. The first broadcast of this episode in USA was cut and compressed to make space for the airing of the musical video "Do The Bartman". The version that arrived to Latinamerica and was aired in every network was this one, hence no one saw the entire episode. The lost scene wasn't seen until 2 years later in the flashback from episode 9F17.

El título original de este episodio es "Lisa's First Word" lo que significa "La Primera Palabra de Lisa", sin embargo, el título fue traducido como "La Primera Palabra de Maggie". La mala traducción del título me arruinó(y a todos los televidentes latinoamericanos) el suspenso del episodio, pues yo estaba esperando el momento en que Maggie hablara, algo que fue inesperado en EE.UU. The original title for this episode is "Lisa's First Word", hence it was translated as "La Primera Palabra de Maggie"(which means "Maggie's First Word"). The bad translation of the title ruined me(andd all latinamerican viewers) the suspense of the episode, since I was expecting the time Maggie will speak, something completely unexpected in USA.

Originalmente, la escena en que Ayudante de Santa y La más Rápida se aparean iba a ser mostrada en pantalla completa en EE.UU. Los ejecutivos se opusieron y la cambiaron por una escena en que sólo se veía de los hombros hacia arriba. Aún así se opusieron y la escena fue cambiada a una escena congelada de la familia. Extrañamente, la única versión emitida aquí fue la versión "hombros-arriba", la cual puede verse en EE.UU. en la versión sindicada. Se me ha dicho que la versión en pantalla se emitió de alguna manera en Nueva Zelanda. Originally, the scene where Santa´s Little Helper and She's the Fastest make love was meant to be shown full-screen in USA. Execs opposed y the scene was changed for a "shoulders-up" version. Even though they opposed and it was changed to a freeze-frame of the family. Strangely, the only version shown here was the "shoulders-up" one, which can still be seen in USA in the syndicated version. I've been told that the "full-screen" version was somehow shown in New Zealand.

En la versión original, en la escena en que Bart sale de la casa para iniciar la guerra en Shelbyville, dice: "Death to Shelbyville!"(Muerte a Shelbyville). Esta línea no fue traducida al castellano, pues no se oye nada en ese momento. Probablemente, pues sonaba algo inapropiada ya que este episodio estaba dedicado al público joven. Quizás pensaron que no nos daríamos cuenta, pero les resultó, ya que yo no me percaté hasta que leí la versión original en la cápsula del episodio. Intencoinal o error, esto no fue censura de FOX, ya que tampoco se oyó la línea cuando este episodio fue emitido por Canal 13 de Chile. In the original version, in the scene where Bart leaves the house to start war at Shelbyville, he says: "Death to Shelbyville!". This line wasn't translated to spanish, since we hear nothing in the moment. Probably, because it sounded inapropiate since this episode was was dedicated to young audience. They may have thought that we wouldn't notice, but it worked, since I didn't realized this until I read the original version in the episode capsule. Intentional or mistake, this wasn't FOX censorship, since the line wasn't heard too when this episode aired in Canal 13 in Chile.

2F17	La voz de Lisa sonó muy diferente en este episodio, aunque es la única vez que ha ocurrido esto con este personaje. [nc] Lisa's voice sounded a lot different in this episode, yet it is the only time this has happened with this character. [nc]

Este episodio no fue emitido por FOX hasta que la temporada 9 terminó en este mismo canal. Ignoramos la razón del retraso de este episodio, ya que las canciones no fueron dobladas y la voz de Bart fue hecha por Marina Huerta. This episode didn't air via FOX until season 9 was over in that same channel. We ignore the reason of the delay of this episode, since the songs weren't doubled and Bart's voice was done by Marina Huerta.

Comenzando con este episodio, la voz de Bart deja de ser hecha por Marina Huerta y es increíblemente cambiada. Razones se deben a que Televisa se negó a pagarle a Marina Huerta la suma que ella solicitaba, por lo que renunció y la voz de Bart fue reemplazada. No tengo aún información sobre quién hace la nueva voz de Bart. Starting with this episode, Bart's voice ends being done by Marina Huerta and is incredibly changed. Reasons indicate that Televisa refused to pay Marina Huerta the sum she asked for, reason why she quit and Bart's voice was replaced. I have no info on who does Bart's new voice.

Este episodio fue emitido mucho antes de la fecha en que debió ser emitido(siguiendo las emisiones en EE.UU.). En lugar de ser el final de temporada, se emitió entre 5F10 y 5F12. This episode aired way before the date it was originally meant to air(following the airings in USA). Instead of being the season finale, it aired between 5F10 and 5F12.

Estos episodios jamás fueron emitidos por FOX a pesar que todos los episodios de la temporada 10 ya fueron emitidos aquí. La razón se debe probablemente a que ambos episodios serán sacados en video. Aún espero que estos episodios sean emitidos, esperamos que no tarden. [nc] agrega que estos episodios sí fueron emitidos en Argentina por Telefé, aunque muy cortados, pero esto prueba que los doblaron. These episodes never aired via FOX despite every season 10 episodies already aired here. The reason is probably that both episodes will release in video. I'm still waiting for these episodes to air, hope they don't delay. [nc] adds that these episodes were broadcast on Argentina by Telefe, even though they were heavily cutted, yet this proves that they were dubbed.

Todos los subtítulos en inglés cuando alguien habla japonés en este episodio fueron cortados. Las líneas en japonés fueron cambiadas por frases sin sentido. Esto causó que los créditos iniciales también fueran cortados(productor, guionista, director, etc.). Este es probablemente el cambio más descarado que se ha hecho en la historia del programa, a pesar que no hubo escenas cortadas. [nc] agrega que sí hubo subtítulos en inglés en las escenas mencionadas en la emisión de Telefé, aunque sin créditos iniciales. All english subtitles when someone speaks japanese in this episodes were cutted. Lines in japanese were changed for senseless phrases. This caused that the opening credits were not shown(producer, writer, director, etc.). This is probably the worst of all changes in the history of the show, even though there were no scenes cutted. [nc] adds that there were english subtitles in the previously mentioned scenes when this episode aired in Telefé, yet without opening credits.
