Wesley Mead
I maintain several documents at the Archive, the most frequently updated of which is the UK and Ireland Listings, which I took over in March 2004 from David McCormick. I also maintain several character files, and created the BBFC Ratings In The UK file. I often write articles for the News page, focusing mainly on the DVD releases.
I work in IT, as a marketing exec, and live with my fiancée. I have A-levels in politics, English literature and computing.
I'm very interested in popular culture, and follow a lot of TV shows - everything from "Friday Night Lights" to "Futurama", "Men of a Certain Age" to "The Middle". Music-wise, I listen to a wide variety, but Bruce Springsteen would probably top the favourites list. I'm also interested in politics, snooker and the Internet. If you're dying to know more about me (and why wouldn't you be?), my Listology lists and Facebook will satiate you.
I first got interested in "The Simpsons" aged just eight, way back in 1999. Since then it's gone on to become my favourite show, and I collect a wide range of Simpsons merchandise. I'm less of a devoted fan these days, but the first ten seasons remain unassailable classics in my eyes.
My favourite Simpsons episodes include "Simpsoncalifragalisticexpiala-D'oh!-cious", "Homer's Barbershop Quartet", "And Maggie Makes Three" and "'Round Springfield". (Worst of the worst? Surely "Simpsons Safari".)
